| It took me four hours, but after I moved back to the dorms and unpacked everything I felt right at home--even more so than I did in my own house! Maybe it's because the room I had at home was unheated and freezing all day long or maybe because the bed was uncomfortably soft (I hate soft beds) or maybe it was the fact that there was nothing to eat at home. In any case, home was not as sweet as home should be .

| I was looking through old text messages on my phone that I had from Hong Kong when I realized how much I miss all my Hong Kong friends ! We had some good times then.
Oh yeah, happy new year everybody!

| Next week is the last week of classes before finals and now is when all the projects, tests, and other random assignments are due. Lately, I've been a lot less motivated to do work. I need to pull myself together to get through these next few weeks. Thanksgiving break was a much-needed reprieve, and though I vowed to do some work then, I got a lot less done than I had hoped.

| Yep, I'm back. But not in HK, I'm back in the good ol' US of A! And I've been back for about a week or so.
I went running this morning and the first part of me that gave out was my diaphragm. It was only after running that my legs told me they had been worked out. I'll need to keep running in the mornings if I want to survive the marathon in January.

| I was wandering around in Festival Walk today when I came across a store whose name I initially took to be "Durian." It was actually called "Durban," but durian nevertheless stuck in my head as I thought of my recent trip to Singapore and the amazing abundance of durians there. I saw them on the street for SGD$3 each, but apparently sometimes durians can be had for as cheap as SGD$1 (that's about US$0.66)!! I was saddened that I did not have durian during my stay in Singapore, and then I thought about how often I had durian in Hong Kong and that was pretty depressing too because I can count the number of times I've had it on one hand. And so I wallowed in self-pity (not really :P) about how I was probably not going to get to eat durian again before I went back to the States for a while. Then, after dinner, my aunt said to my great surprise and delight, "Let's have the durian now." ^^
Here's a picture of me and a no durian sign in the Singapore subway (note that there is no fine associated with it!):

Here's a close-up of the sign:
